Booking Conditions
To cover the majority of possible eventualities on a trip to Ecuador and a cruise in the Galapagos, we have set out some simple terms and conditions:
1. In order to enjoy the experience people should be in good health and fit enough to walk 3 kilometers on rough undulating ground. Ability to swim and snorkel will greatly enhance the experience. If there are any health issues that could impede these basic activities, we should know of this beforehand.
2. Liability: Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the hazards involved in this kind of travel and that you come on the tour at your own risk. We cannot accept any liability in respect of illness, accident, delay or loss of property, unless it can be shown to have been a direct result of negligence by the services provided to Galapagos Experience.
We insist that our clients have adequate travel and health insurance to cover those risks and subsequent repatriation.
3. Alterations and cancellations by the company: breakdowns, bad weather, political disruption, etc., may cause delays or cancellations. However, although these are rare and we cannot foresee them, all efforts will be made to offer the best alternatives available.
4. Payment conditions:
A deposit (specified in the invoice) is required as soon as possible to reserve your trip.  In the event of the customer canceling, this sum may not be refunded. This will depend mainly on the services ability to find a replacement customer in the time available. In the event of cancellation by us, this will be totally refunded as soon as possible.
The balance (specified in the invoice) must be paid two months before the trip. If the client cancels after this time Galapagos Experience will do all they can to recover as much as possible which will be refunded after trip completion. However, it is once again recommended that trip insurance is purchased which will cover legitimate reasons for last minute cancellation.
Should a canceling client or Galapagos Experience find a suitable replacement at any stage before the start of the trip, the amount paid can be totally transferred.

5. It is strongly recommended that clients are in Ecuador, close to Guayaquil or Quito airport two nights before the start of a Galapagos cruise if flying in internationally and the day before if already within the country. This will prevent the possibility of missing the crucial morning flight to Galapagos and the start of the cruise in the event of a delayed or canceled connecting flight the day before or morning of.
Any extra nights can be booked either through us or independently.
